What's in a Number...20 Down and 18 on!

Yesterday I spent the better part of the day cleaning house. Literally 5 hours picking up, rearranging, doing wash and the like. Not that my place was messy to begin with, on the contrary everyone always says I keep a clean house. However, there was a need to just get things put away, rearranged, and spruced up. It felt really good at the end of the day.

The best part was that I must have gone up and down the stairs to the 2nd floor, to the basement at least a dozen times. AND I DIDN'T GET WINDED EVEN ONCE!

And that my friends is a big accomplishment for me!

This morning I went to my closet and dared to try out a size smaller dress slacks - and they fit! While I am patting myself on the back, I don't mind saying that these are a size 18W. Yup and I'm happy to be fitting back into them! Now I know that women's clothing sizes are getting bigger relative to the size number, however these were old clothes that I hadn't had on in years! So happy...

At my heaviest I was squeezing into a size 24 and wondering how I'd get the next size larger because my local store didn't carry a 26 or larger. Yup, you read that right, I was PLANNING on gaining weight. That was a wake-up moment.

So, yes, I'm darn happy to be fitting easily and comfortably into my "new" old clothes. I think I've lost almost 20 pounds since just before Christmas (weigh in tomorrow) and the workouts are really helping take inches off!

And with each choice and each day I know that I'm moving in the right direction. Making Fit Happen.

My reward is getting a manicure this afternoon!

Yippee
